During January of 2007 members arriving at Dreams hotel were moved to another hotel and forced to listen to another timeshare presentation. The threat was that if they did not participate, their daily rate would double.

We attended at Eldorado Royalle for one week of our stay in Mexico and were advised that they would offer us a discount for purchase of time share to help us out of our problems with Sole as it was going down and would be worthless.
We were to meet with two other groups on Monday morning to discuss Sole and how they could help us. As we quickly discovered this was a typical timeshare presentation and when we finally said no, they sent us out the back door. This took about 4 hours and we met other couples that had no Sole Membership that were offered the same price as us. Basically its a typical con job. If your willing to submit your self to 4 hours of you week to a timeshare presentation, the Eldorado is a grear resort.

The problem is that Sole Vacation Club will not produce a written statement concerning the status of what is happening with the estimated over $10 million dollars they have now collected. We have the right to be suspicious, if not alarmed.
It is also possible that Sole is actually working on our problem, but how is one to believe that? Their on site office is open only 2-4 hours a week at Dreams. Things are getting worse each year. I suspect their office will close soon. I just heard they are not honoring the taxi rides to and from the airport. What is next?
Yes- I agree- everyone should file independently with Profeco. I do not think they will allow a group filing? Maybe someone could check?
We also need to find the attorney that represented the sales staff of Sole Resorts that were fired without proper notice. They apparently split into two groups, and sued Sole Vacation Club. One group won, the other group’s suit is pending, I am told.
I am also curious whether our timeshare contracts were properly registered at the Registry of Deeds? That is very important. If they were, we have a prior claim over Dreams.
Again-file with Profeco…they are free, and they have teeth, I was told.

We were told that we would be given help selling our other timeshare in the MR-this never came close to happening. We were told of the benefits of CondoTrust-they seem to be extinct now., and our money gone. We were told that we could directly exchange weeks w/ other Sunscape Resorts-a lie. We were told the units would be ready last year when we first went to use them-a lie. We were told that there was no fee unless we used the weeks-a lie. We almost never get responses from Alejandra-the only person who seems to work for Sole now. We were promised 2 units for our stay next month and have a confirmation, but no one will answer to tell us where we are staying or inthe timeshare units are finished. All we know is that the Dreams manager says we are not booked with them. On the other hand, we stayed at Dreams last year and had a wonderful experience.

None of these comments are current. What is happening now? We recieved a letter and phone call recently requesting our two overdue maintenance fees. We are not paying them, but what else can we do? We’ll contact the profeco website, but would like to know current information.

Please can you tell me if this is an ongoing sitution, as I am considering investing in this company and it’s hotel operations, and to come across this is quite a warning.

Has anyone received a request for additional monies due to a re-organization of the management company? (4/10)
I think this is a result of the fines incurred fall of 2008.

I am also an owner with Sole Vacation Club Tulum and have never gotten to stay there and never get a response to letters or emails.
What’s going on with this site and how can I get on board?

Sorry to see this mess. I am one of the displeased owners of the timeshare who was lied to and paid extra for the condos that were never built. Now this, more money for a scam. I never got what I was promised for the $30,000 yet I have used Rci and have taken some nice trips. I hope we don’t get dropped. I fell in love with tulum. I am glad to see this web site. Thank you for starting it. I wish I found this sooner.
